For 17 years I ran a nonprofit musical theater program for children—a place where kids could express themselves without fear of criticism, discover their strengths, and grow through encouragement, deep practice, and ensemble work. Along the way, I learned from Viola Spolin, The Talent Code, several other wonderful books and training including Compassionate Communication, and the children themselves.I believe there is magic in compassion and understanding. Often, we are looking outside ourselves for the answers, when all along, those have been with us. What is a snail mail club?

A snail mail club is a subscription where members receive curated letters and little surprises through the mail each month. Unlike a digital newsletter, everything arrives in a real envelope that you can hold, open, and look forward to every month.For Penelope’s Post, each monthly mailing includes:A handwritten‑style letter from Penelope (a warm story written just for you)A 3″x5″ coaching card with a gentle parenting promptA unique Art Card designed by our in house Graphic Artist to brighten your day and uplift your spirit.A small treasure for your child (a sticker, spark card, or little surprise)Sometimes a little extra—a bookmark, a simple activity, or something sweetThe goal is to create a small pause in your month—a moment of encouragement for you, a little joy for your child, and a quiet reminder that you’re not alone on this parenting journey.

When do I get my letter?

I send out Penelope’s Post on the 15th of every month.US members typically receive their envelope within 3–8 days after mailing.International members should allow 2–6 weeks for delivery (mail can take a little longer across borders).Part of the beauty of snail mail is the slow pace and anticipation. If you ever feel something has gone wrong, just reach out—I’m happy to help.

What if I need to cancel or change my address?

Just email me at [email protected] and I’ll take care of it.
Please try to let me know before the 1st of the month so I can update your address or cancel your subscription before the next mailing goes out.

What if I didn’t get my letter?

If your envelope doesn’t arrive, email me at [email protected] and I’ll make it right—either by resending your letter or refunding you for that month.Sometimes envelopes are returned to me. I wait until the end of the month to allow time for any returns, then resend them to you. I’ll also contact USPS on your behalf if a letter goes missing. And if all else fails, you’ll receive a refund for that month.

💌 A note on timing:

If you sign up before the 1st of the month, you’ll receive that month’s letter. If you sign up after the 1st, your first letter will arrive the following month.

What countries do you ship to?

I ship to most countries globally, except those on the U.S. sanctions or USPS restricted list. If you’re unsure whether your country is eligible, just email me and I’ll check for you.

Do you offer gift subscriptions?

Absolutely. Penelope’s Post makes a thoughtful gift for a new parent, a friend, or a loved one with young children. When you sign up, simply enter the recipient’s mailing address. If you’d like to include a gift note, email me after you subscribe and I’ll add it to the first envelope.

How do I change my mailing address?
